This year, our auction opens not with a horse, but with a lot of very special significance: Wagyu heifer calf July, to be auctioned entirely for a good cause.
The full proceeds will go to the Balthasar Children's and Young People's Hospice in Olpe, Germany – a shelter along the path of life for families with seriously ill children. From experienced nurses and paediatric nurses to grief counsellors, therapists and hospital clowns, everyone there helps to make the time shared by the sick children and young people, their siblings and their parents intense and meaningful – with joy, zest for life and many beautiful moments.
Whoever bids on this lot is not only acquiring an exceptional calf, but giving families something priceless during the hardest time of their lives: time together. Bidding starts at €100 – and generosity knows no limits.
